Smarter Grid Solutions is a pioneering technology Company, which spearheaded the introduction of Active Network Management in the UK, and is now a world-leading provider of DERMS software to electrical utilities across the UK, Europe and North America. We have a customer base that includes major utilities such as UK Power Networks, Western Power Distribution, Consolidated Edison, Hydro One and Southern California Edison and controls over 400 MW of renewable generation, from wind turbines to electric vehicles, across its customer territories.

This Tenders & Contracts Manager role offers the opportunity to get involved in our varied sales processes across the UK, Europe, North America and elsewhere. In this role you will work with our growing multi-disciplinary teams in Glasgow and New York to develop and deliver compelling proposals for our customers.

You may have experience in a bid support, project coordination or project management role with an understanding of software/systems and project delivery to external customers.  Ideally, this experience will have been gained in a software product-based organisation.

 

Responsibilities and Objectives

  • Co-ordinating team contribution to bids, including own contribution
  • Management of company registration on customer procurement portals
  • Creating and managing standard bid materials
  • Maintenance of bid pipeline
  • Recording bid statistics
  • Management of customer procurement portals

 

Required Experience and Capabilities:

  • Excellent IT skills (Word, Excel, Adobe, MS-Project, LucidChart)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent documentation skills
  • Excellent understanding of project financials

 

Desired Experience and Capabilities

  • Understanding of electricity networks, renewables, telecommunications, or control systems
  • Understanding of software product lifecycles
