Problem

Northern Powergrid identified a number of remote, poorly served or critical communities where reliability could be improved by the introduction of microgrids.

Solution

Strata Resilience components are deployed into the field using OpenFMB to coordinate disconnection and re-connection of devices as well as scheduling and setpoint control of DER. SGS is providing full project management services for the project including management of the power electronics provider and battery installations.

Result

The first sites will go live in 2020.
