Southern California Edison (SCE) identified the need to be able to monitor and control DER at scale across its network as part of its Grid Modernization objectives. It also recognised that DERMS required many different capabilities, not all available in a single solution. SCE designed a reference architecture that they required to demonstrate, through the Integrated Grid Project, prior to future investments in DERMS infrastructure.
ANM Strata was deployed into the Advanced Technologies Centre in SCE and was successfully integrated with the Enterprise Service Bus (Predix), DER and other SCE systems for forecasting and optimization.
In head to head comparison with other DERMS vendors, ANM Strata successfully demonstrated the reference architecture and the use of a System of Systems approach to DERMS roll-out.
