ESCOs know that in the context of time-of-use-tariffs and constrained grid connections, energy storage systems deliver a complicated but compelling value proposition to their customer base. They require a management and optimization platform to handle the associated data requirements, optimize the assets and facilitate participation in emerging markets.
Solution
Cirrus Flex co-ordinates on site battery energy storage systems (BESS) to store cheap, clean energy for when it’s needed most by the end-customer. This takes advantage of advanced generation and load forecasting combined with an understanding and anticipation of import and export constraints. This is configurable for customers for a range of objectives, including price and low-carbon, and use-cases: including energy offtake and on-site resiliency. ESCOs benefit from a single-pane-of-glass user interfaces allowing live insight across multiple sites and customers. For sites with bespoke DER scheduling requirements, intuitive and scalable user flows are available to allow centralised control from headquarters. This removes previous pain points regarding the collection of data and the centralised, responsive dispatch of assets.
